Privacy Policy
We collect as little data as possible, never sell it, and delete it if you ask.
Your brain is yours. So is your data.
Privacy shouldn't be a confusing puzzle. That's why we wrote out exactly how we treat your data, in plain, everyday language.
Our Core Promises to You
- We never sell your data: Not now, not ever.
- Only what's needed: We only collect the bare minimum required to make your tools work smoothly.
- Leave anytime: You can delete your account and all your data with one simple click.
The Short Version (TL;DR)
In short, we use your data strictly to make our accessibility tools work for you, and we will completely delete it the moment you ask us to. We do absolutely no hidden tracking behind your back.
1. What information do we collect?
We only need your email address so you can log in, plus your saved tool preferences (like if you prefer "Dark Mode" or "Reduced Motion").
We DO NOT collect sensitive medical data or official diagnoses. Your neurotype is your business, not ours.
2. A note on AI Technology
We use helpful AI technology to summarize complex text and adjust reading levels for you automatically.
However, we want you to know: your personal data is NEVER used to train our AI models. The AI simply processes the text you ask it to change, and then it forgets it immediately.
3. The 'Cookie' Library
Think of internet "cookies" like a library card. When you visit NeuroKind, we hand you a small virtual card that says, "This is the person who likes large text." When you come back, you show us the card so our website instantly remembers how you like things set up.
You can throw this card away (by clearing your browser cookies) anytime you want.
4. How long we keep your information
We keep your account information for as long as your account is actively being used.
If you do not log in for 24 months, we will send you an email reminder to check in. If we don't hear back from you, we will automatically delete everything. You can also manually request immediate deletion of your account at any time through your settings page.
5. Who sees your information?
Only 3 core staff members have access to our secure user database, and only so they can fix technical bugs.
We host parts of our infrastructure with trusted, secure providers such as Cloudflare, who match our privacy and security standards. If we add options for donations in the future, we will only work with payment processors that uphold comparable privacy protections. Any future donations will always be completely optional and will never affect your ability to access our community or resources. We will never share your email address with advertisers.
